Everyone loves a parade!
We are delighted to invite you to participate in the Inaugural Pink Ribbon Parade, a public art event to raise awareness about breast cancer. We need your support to create and gather many larger-than-life size sculptures of uniquely designed pink ribbons that marched into Texas in Fall 2011. The individual creativity of each ribbon generates a visual experience that translates art into action for a cause that touches all of us.
This campaign has many layers that will benefit many in countless ways. Each ribbon purchased will raise funds and awareness for: 1) the Breast Health Collaborative of Texas; 2) a charitable organization of YOUR choice; and 3) YOUR organization. It is an excellent way to show how your company supports the fight against breast cancer. So far the Pink Ribbon Parade has raised $38,000 for Greater Houston-area breast health organizations!
Let’s come together to show how the true Texas Spirit can fight against breast cancer.
This is a Breast Health Collaborative of Texas initiative—a network of over 300 nonprofit, for profit, social service agencies, survivors and individual members improving access to breast health services in Texas. We are sharing to make all of our programs strong!
Press Kick-Off, September 13, 2011, 9:30 a.m., at Houston City Hall: We kicked off the Pink Ribbon Parade with a great event! Mayor Annise Parker gave a speech calling for a healthier Houston, and 11 of our ribbons were gathered in front of the reflection pool.
